The Restaurant
The 38 cover restaurant has a great reputation for preparing a wide range of traditional food from a varied menu. Head chef, Lucie David is widely recognised as one of the most accomplished chefs in the area, known for her use of freshly bought, local ingredients.
The menu on offer has something for everyone, with a choice of eating from the daily ‘blackboard specials’ or the a la carte menu.
The Duke of York is well known for serving some of the best chargrilled steaks in Somerset; delicious fresh fish sourced through Samways of Bridport, as well as a selection of homemade, pub classics. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to choose from a range of homemade desserts.
Private dining – If you’re looking for a place to entertain friends, family or organise a business lunch / dinner, you may wish to take advantage of our private dining area. Set out to your specification, the room will seat up to 20 people or 40 standing.
